The MEC is where sustained structured deepwater physical exercise instruction and training takes place. Its perimeter is lined with Prototype Handles and Rope Cups. The temperature is held at a kool 65-68 degrees. The MEC has 4 Therapeutic Massage stations. One is at a shallow location. Three of these 4 stations are Power Massage and double as work out/swim stations; each with variable capacities to Increase or Decrease a variety of water forces and physical exercise resistance. Two of these Power Stations use 7 Jacuzzi Turbo-Jets; one station is located at a depth of 5 feet, the other at 8 feet. The third is a Swim Gym located at a 5 1/2 to 6 foot depth. This Swim Gym machine brings about an entirely different water movement than Jacuzzi. It simulates the powerful currents of a river. This Main chamber includes sufficiently shallow flat non-skid bottom surfaces. These partial immersion depths are necessary to purposely provide areas where full foot contact can be made with the surface bottom while running or walking. This assures the full heel-toe or complete foot flap rotation is activate; with minimal foot strike and impact compression found while walking-running in the forces of gravity [see videos].
